Accessibility in stage theatre is paramount as it ensures that everyone, regardless of their physical abilities or limitations, can fully participate and appreciate the magic of live performances.

By embracing accessibility measures,  theatre becomes an inclusive space, welcoming individuals with diverse needs.

We are proud of the accessibility measure

we have implemented to make our theatre accessible to all.

Studio Theatre Productions is the production arm of the Perth Studio Project, committed to cultivating the arts in our community through outstanding live theatre productions.

The works of playwrights such as Norm Foster, Neil Simon, Oscar Wilde, George Bernard Shaw, Agatha Christie and scores more have graced our stage, brought to life by our own seasoned actors and directors. Year after year, the Studio Theatre has grown and matured as both a production organization and a superlative live theatre venue.

Mentoring Program

In order for the theatre to succeed and grow, we must nurture up and coming directors. To that end, the Studio Theatre Perth has created a mentoring program that allows new directors to learn from the veterans. Frequently, a new director is encouraged to select and bring to fruition a One Act Play which will be produced as part of our October “Evening of One Act Plays”. One such play each season is selected to be STP’s entry into the EODL One Act Festival. Roberta Peets and Kathie Reid were the first beneficiaries of this important program, mentored respectively by Jeremy Dutton and Patricia Parry. Subsequently, Barb Guthrie and Lucas Tennant (mentored by C. Lee Bates and David Parry respectively) have received Best Director Awards at EODL. These 4 directors brought this experience to future successful productions. For information about our Mentoring program please email enquiries@studiotheatreperth.com
