For fans of the music of Blue Rodeo, and for those that find crowds and huge venues just too much to handle, the Studio Theatre in Perth is featuring “Outskirts – A Celebration of Blue Rodeo” on Saturday, November 1/2025
Blue Rodeo – the band, is a Canadian music treasure with an extensive discography of 16 studio albums, four live albums, and a Greatest Hits album. “Outskirts” has no problem in finding the best music from Blue Rodeo and bringing that legacy to life on stage.
Featuring Jeff Callery (guitar, vocals), Mark Hunt (lead guitar, mandolin, vocals), Leigh Graham (keys, vocals), Andy Schick (steel guitar), Randy Orr (bass, vocals), and Glen Crotty (drums), the band has quickly earned praise for their authentic, passionate performances.
Audiences have noted Outskirts’ remarkable ability to recreate the “timeless charm and soul” of Blue Rodeo’s music, describing their shows as “nostalgic journeys” and “faithful yet fresh” homages to the originals. One reviewer highlighted their skillful renditions, stating, “They bring Blue Rodeo’s essence to life with every note”
Cliff Edwards, a Canadian music legend from “The Bells” (Fly Little White Dove, Stay Awhile) said this about a recent Outskirts performance “The Outskirts performance was well planned; pacing was excellent, musicianship, vocal excellence…first rate!!”
