Jason Robert Brown’s contemporary musical The Last Five Years tells the emotionally powerful story of two twenty-something New Yorkers who dive head-first into a marriage inspired by the optimism that comes with finding one’s “soulmate.” Funny, intimate, and heart-achingly honest, with an exquisite romantic score, The Last Five Years takes a bold look at one young couple’s belief that love can conquer all challenges. The Last Five Years explores adult situations using adult language.
A beautiful strings orchestra will guarantee a powerful evening at the theatre. Local talents Aidan Shenkman and Justice Tremblay (PAMT and Orion), fresh from the successful Ottawa production of “Next To Normal,” take on the roles of Cathy and Jamie.
