Lobby Art

Chris grew up in a family that loved the outdoors and that passion continues today. A lot of her art focuses on the unlimited amount of beauty found in nature and our surroundings. “The forest, a rocky shore or paddling my canoe are among the places that bring my heart happiness and inspire my art.”

Chris studied Graphic Design at Loyalist College where she found her true passion in photography. From there, she continued her studies in Photography at Humber College. After working for various photographers, she opened a professional photography studio in Belleville, ON. “This taught me to focus on composition, light and colour. I have captured many beautiful photographs in my travels that are now my muse for painting.”

Primarily a self-taught artist, Chris paints mainly in acrylic but also in multi-media and oil. Chris loves to try new things and the challenge of painting custom commission pieces gives her an opportunity to experiment and advance her skills.

Chris is an active member of the Rideau Lakes Artists Association, and of Arts Carleton Place and participates in as many local art shows as possible.
