MUDMEN ARE BACK FOR TWO GREAT SHOWS AT STUDIO THEATRE
Always entertaining and definitely unique, the Mudmen are a blast of Celtic energy whose members are known to be characters both on and off the stage. Enjoy an all-ages evening of Celtic music and Mud stories from Canada’s Celtic Rock Warriors. First discovered in 1993 as the Campbell Brothers, Sandy and Rob signed a record deal with EMI Records and changed their name to Mudmen in 1988.
Mudmen have had their music featured on Xbox and PlayStation video games and have opened for and toured with The Guess Who, Loverboy, The Irish Rovers, The Chieftains, Johnny Reid, ZZ Top, George Canyon, Nazareth, Kim Mitchell, and Bif Naked, to name a few.
Career highlights include meeting and performing for the Queen of England on Parliament Hill, performing at the ’84 Edmonton Oiler’s televised Stanley Cup reunion, performing at the CBC Oilers/Flames home opening ceremonies, twelve Canada’s Walk of Fame ceremonies, guesting on Bob & Doug Mackenzie’s Two-Four special on CBC, seven Grey Cups, three Memorial Cups, eight Molson Canadian Snow Jams, three Edgefests, and three Briers.
They have performed at the Governor’s General Awards, the Ted Rogers Awards, and the Canadian Country Music Awards. They also guested on the CBC Hockey Night in Canada anthem produced by rock icon Bob Rock, where Ron MacLean proclaimed: “Mudmen, we love ’em!”
Mudmen have put out eleven studio albums and had their music featured on HBO’s Shameless, WWE Wrestling, NBC’S The Black Donnellys, Much Music/MTV, and Don Cherry’s hockey DVDs. They reached #19 on the top 20 countdown on Canada’s largest rock radio, the Edge 102.
Ex-NHL great Glenn Healy says: “you won’t to miss this show!”
With over 3000 shows to date in eight different countries, Johnny Reid calls Mudmen “Canada’s best-kept secret”.
