Kim Fournier: from January 2

Artist Statement

“My current artistic focus is to strengthen my intuitive abilities to create beautiful paintings filled with colour and contrast. My most recent work has focused on landscape compositions inspired by my travels in Europe & Canada; as well by the surrounding natural areas in Lanark County (my new home). In my artwork, I strive to capture the light, mood, colour and character of those places that have left a lasting impression with me. It is an exciting challenge for me to visualize and create colourful and interesting compositions that reflect the wonderful beauty I see in the natural world.“

BIO

Kim Fournier moved to the Perth area just over a year ago and is thrilled to share her artwork with the local community. Her family has deep roots here, and she’s filled with wonderful memories of visiting Perth over the years. As a result, she feels very connected to the town and the natural beauty of the surrounding countryside.

In this exhibit, you will find a selection of landscape paintings inspired by her outdoor adventures in the Maritimes, Algonquin Park and around Lanark County. Also, you can browse a selection of Kim’s beautiful watercolours, which come packaged with an acid-free mat & backing and are ready to insert into your choice of a standard-size frame.

Come to a show and also visit the art gallery in the lobby!
