Hervana Covers Nirvana’s Unplugged in New York Hervana Poster April 16 Show.

On April 16 at the Studio Theatre, Toronto-based Nirvana cover band Hervana will unplug for an acoustic
show paying tribute to the Unplugged in New York album.

This beloved live record holds a special place in many people’s hearts and the band is excited to present these intimate shows in 5 cities, including Perth. The show will feature the band playing Unplugged in New York in full.

Hervana is Skirt Cobain (Carly Beath), Miss Novoselic (Erin Cousins), Dave Grrrl (Adrian Pasen) and Pap Smear (Michelle Turingan). In the two years since its creation, the band has played across Ontario and Quebec and at events such as World Pride, Lupercalia Winter Multi-Arts Festival and Wavelength.

The band features two members who grew up in the Ottawa Valley, lead singer/guitarist Carly Beath (Smiths Falls) and bassist Erin Cousins (Almonte/Carleton Place).

These hometown connections were behind the band’s desire to play a show locally, which they hope will be the first of many more to come.
