Welcome to the Studio Theatre

Perth and Surroundings

The Studio Theatre is a 197-fixed-seat community theatre  situated in a heritage building in the centre of the historic and picturesque town of Perth, overlooking the Tay Basin. Known for its marvelous acoustics and intimate atmosphere, the Studio Theatre is a favorite with professional musicians. Well-known performers, such as Valdy and Shirley Harmer, tribute bands from The Beatles to the Beach Boys, blues greats, bluegrass, funk and folk - our stage has seen them all. Local area musicians love to play here too. There have also been some surprises, like a Victorian paranormal show and an opera! Keep an eye on our website for upcoming events. You never know what you’ll find!

The Studio Theatre entertains about 10,000 patrons each season; they come to enjoy our plays, concerts, special events and more. With197 seats unhindered views and great acoustics, the Studio Theatre is the perfect place to enjoy live theatre. Each season, we try to provide a variety of plays; be it side-splitting comedy, classic drama or high tension thriller, you’re sure to find something to suit your taste.
