Welcome to the Studio Theatre

Give Our Theatre A Lift!

logo

For years, we at the Studio Theatre have wished for an elevator to make our theatre accessible to everyone in the community. It's a lot to wish for - an elevator will cost more than $100,000 - but we believe it's a truly worthwhile venture that allow more people to enjoy our shows and concerts. Today, debt-free and financially stable, we're finally able to consider a project of this magnitude. But we need your help to make it happen!

Our fund-raising campaign is entitled Give Our Theatre A Lift and we hope everyone who cares about the Studio Theatre will help us reach our goal. This isn't just about adding an elevator. The Studio Theatre is a community playhouse and this project will help ensure that everyone in our community can enjoy the great shows we present here.

Can you help "Give Our Theatre A Lift"? Tax receipts will be issued for donations over $10.

Here’s what we’re doing to help us reach our goal of $15,000 which the Theatre has committed to contribute to the project in addition to monies we hope to receive through various Grants:

  • The theatre’s portion of 50/50 proceeds, and any donations given back to the theatre by generous winners, will go towards the project
  • All proceeds from our Perth’s Got Talent shows, held bi-annually, will be dedicated to the elevator fund
  • We are very excited about our future Fashion Show which will showcase local and area shops, with all proceeds going to the elevator fund – date and timing to be advised

Accessibility Grant

Thanks to generous support of Valley Heartland Community Futures Development Corporation, important upgrades are being made to the theatre to improve accessibility. We have installed an auditory enhancement system, and the units are available free of charge for those who need hearing support. A fully accessible upper-level washroom has now been completed much to everyone’s delight.

Elevator Funding Grant

We will continue to submit grant applications to cover the remaining portion of the project. This will be a long-term project but your Board of Directors is committed to making your Theatre accessible to everyone in the region, regardless of how long it will take.
